I have been an animal enthusiast from a very young age. I was born and raised in Connecticut, but moved down to FL in my early teens. As the baby of four children, you could usually find me cuddled up with one of my pets or begging to take home the latest cutey I saw in a pet store. I knew I loved animals, but I didn’t know what I could do besides being a vet. However, a vet degree requires grades, funds and resources I didn’t have access to.

Lacking confidence and a plan, I went on to serve 4 years in the military. The Army helped me to find the courage and confidence I needed and I began taking online courses to become a vet technician. I decided that if I was going to develop a career, I would do something I truly loved. However, as time passed, I fell into grooming needing fast and reliable income. I soon realized that as a groomer I had 100% involvement with clients. Being a stylist was making me happy, fulfilled, and allowed me to be creative and express myself. I went on to dedicate 4 years of training in the pet grooming industry. In doing so, I learned every position and the responsibilities within a grooming salon: a bather, assistant, pet groomer and manager. I decided to conquer them all. Now as a pet groomer and small business owner id like to recreate that mom-and-pop feel in my salon. A welcoming family environment filled with compassion. This allows me to be more personal with my clients. Taking in all that I learned, I created an environment that would feel like my home away from home. Doggo Den LLC is one of my proudest achievements. I always say, “it’s not a job if it’s something you love!” I believe we should all create that Den somewhere in our lives. Welcome to the Doggo Den!

I have always loved animals growing up. I have 3 dogs of my own and have 3 years of pet caretaking. I am very excited to begin my dog grooming journey and learning what the pet industry has to offer.

I am working on my Quality in haircuts, Hand scissoring & Breed Standard. My long term goals are to have a business of my own one day.

Hi there, I'm Allister! With 3 years experience as a vet assistant; I wanted to try my hand at something new! Dog grooming has opened my horizons to a whole new world in the pet industry. Throughout my whole life, I've raised them all; dogs, cats, snakes, chickens; the list goes on. I continue to show my love & admiration for pets: letting my hard work take the lead to show that I care about every pet I encounter!

With each step, I hope I can master my hand at making your loved ones look their absolute best! And to achieve my own goals towards building a sustainable & successful career!
